民國37年10月25日連演四天的貝多芬第9號交響曲、民國44年郭芝苑創作作品首演、54年邀郭美貞擔任客席指揮於於台北國際學舍演出、80年「您喜愛的管弦小品」為首部活動舞台車進行露天演出、83年經全國甄選新秀演員的「茶花女」公開演出、83年由俄羅斯國立芭蕾舞團演出「敦煌夢」、88年10月「布拉姆斯之夜」加演「離別曲」向921罹難者致意、90年首演中國歌劇「西施」、94年八團聯演等，隨著演出活動的故事與人物，回到Encore！不斷的那一夜。


　　The Orchestra has performed on exceptionally grand occasions: four-night premiere (Taiwan) of Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 on October 25th 1948, premiere of music by Taiwanese composer Chih-Yuan Kuo in 1955, performance at International House of Taipei with Mei-Chen Kuo as the guest conductor in 1965, the first outdoor performance with movable stage “The Favorite Orchestra Pieces” in 1991, performance of “The Night of Brahms” with additional Chopin’s Chanson de I’adieu for the victims of the 9/21 earthquake in October 1999, and the association performance with eight other groups in 2005. Through the stories and characters in those performances, the noise of the “Encore” audience seems to never end, and brings us back to the nights of exceptionally grand occasions.

民國34年12月15、16日警總交響樂團於台北市公會堂（現今中山堂）舉行成立音樂會。由蔡繼琨團長親自指揮。
On December 15th and 16th 1945, the Orchestra of Taiwan Provincial Garrison Command (now National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (NTSO)) made its debut, conducted by Chih-Kue Tsai, at the former Taipei City Hall-Chungshan Hall.

自41年9月台灣省政府教育廳交響樂團首次舉辦巡迴演奏會（台南、屏東），成為日後巡迴演奏的慣例。
In September 1952, The Orchestra of Department of Education, (now NTSO) held its first touring performance (Tainan, Pingtung) and this has since become a regular fixture of its schedule.

44年6月1日美國空中交響樂團演奏會於台北市三軍球場演出，指揮為約翰笙博士，為第一來訪演出之國外團體。
On June 1st 1955, the American Air Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Thor Johnson, the first foreign orchestra to perform in Taiwan, performed at the Tri-Services Stadium in Taipei.

54年11月27日台灣省政府教育廳交響樂團邀請著名指揮家郭美貞擔任客席指揮，於台北市國際學舍演出，並由美籍的小提琴家奧列夫斯基擔任小提琴獨奏。
On November 27th 1965, The Orchestra of Department of Education performed at the International House of Taipei with the celebrated Mei-Chen Kuo as guest conductor and American violist Julian Olevsky as the soloist.

88年10月15日受九二一地震波及，國立臺灣交響樂團廳舍遭受嚴重損傷。10月15日演出災後第一場演奏會「布拉姆斯之夜」。
In 1999 the concert hall of NTSO was seriously damaged by the 921 Earthquake. On October 15th the Orchestra held the first post-disaster performance entitled “The Night of Brahms.”

94年2月25日起至3月6日舉辦「查克哈•布隆小提琴大師班」，這是長榮交響樂團成立以來首度舉辦教學性質的音樂活動。
From February 25th to March 6th 2005, the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra held “A Master Class with Violinist Zakhar Bron,” which was the first activity in musical education to be held by the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra since it was established.

94年4月9日樂興之時管絃樂團演出「馬勒復活」，由江靖波指揮，參與演出者：女高音傅上珍、女中音Christa Mayer、竹嶺男聲合唱團、沂風合唱團、新竹科學工業園區合唱團、光仁校友團、台北松韻合唱團。
On April 9th 2005, conducted by Po-Po Chiang, the Philharmonia Moments Musicaux performed “ Mahler: Resurrection,” along with soprano Jenny Fu, mezzo soprano Christa Mayer, Hsin-Chu High School Alumni Chorus, Yi-Phone Ladies Chorus (National Hsin-Chu Girls’ Senior High School Alumni Choir), Science Park Chorus, Kuang-Jen Senior High School and Taipei Song-Yung Chorus.

94年6月19日台北世紀交響樂團樂林三傑演出，指揮廖嘉弘，小提琴獨奏蔡耿銘，鋼琴獨奏林瑋祺，定音鼓獨奏鄭雅，並由『奇美文教基金會』提供1721年Monpagnana名琴供蔡耿銘演奏。
On June 19th 2005, Chia-Hung Liao conducted the Taipei Century Symphony Orchestra in a concert entitled “Three Outstanding Musicians,” with three soloists: violinist Geng-Ming Tsai, pianist Wei-Chi Lin, and Timpanist Ya-Chi Cheng. Chi Mei Culture Foundation provided a Monpagnana violin made in 1721 for Tsai’s performance.

94年12月10日國立台灣交響樂團60年團慶「交情一甲子－2005臺灣交響音樂節」壓軸「響徹雲霄交響樂家族聯演」集結國內7支主要交響樂團共聚一堂。
On December 10th 2005, the National Symphony Orchestra held a concert entitled “Celebration – Taiwan Symphony Orchestra Festival in 2005,” for the celebration of its sixtieth year of foundation. In this event, the most important performance was “Resounding Across the Skies – Co-Performance of Symphony Orchestras,” in which seven main symphony orchestras in Taiwan were invited and performed together.

95年4月23日高雄市立交響樂團為紀念莫札特冥誕250週年演出「琴逢迪手」，邀請名長笛家葛拉夫及小提琴家胡乃元一起與樂團演出。
On April 23rd 2006, Kaohsiung City Symphony Orchestra held a concert entitled “ Viva Amadeus ” for Mozart’s 250th birthday celebration. The renowned flautist Peter Lukas Graf and Violinist Nai-Yuan Hu were invited as the guest soloists.

95年10月22日至96年6月5日規劃【發現理查•史特勞斯】系列，邀請張大勝、陳秋盛、井上道義以及國家交響樂團音樂總監簡文彬擔任指揮。
國家交響樂團自93年開始，規劃整年度的發現之旅系列，介紹知名音樂家，讓聽眾深入了解音樂家的作品。
National Symphony Orchestra has programmed a series of “Richard Strauss cycle,” starting from October 22nd 2006 to June 5th 2007. They have invited Tah-Sheng Chang, Chiu-Shen Chen, and Michiyoshi Inoue to conduct some of the concerts, in addition to their director Wen-Pin Chien.

95年7月16日台北愛樂管弦樂團在華府甘迺迪表演藝術中心音樂廳演出《台灣之夜》，客席指揮為優爾•列維。
On July 16th 2006, the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra featured “Taiwan Nights,” conducted by Yoel Levi as guest conductor, at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
